1 TBSP (0.5oz) Nettle Leaf (herb)
1 cup (8oz) Purified Water (or distilled)
2 TBSP (1oz) Beet Sugar Extract (sub with Glycerin)
1+ 1/2 teaspoon Silk Amino Acid (optional)
5 drops Sweet Orange Essential oil
3 drops Peppermint Essential oil (optional)
1 to 2 ml Peppermint Fragrance Oil
INSTRUCTIONS
PREPARATION REQUIRED
# Heat 1 cup of water until hot
# Pour over Oatstraw and Nettle Leaf, and let steep (sit) for 10 to 15 minutes. Go longer for better extract.
# Strain and let it cool completely
# If you plan to keep this mix outside the fridge for more than 1 day, USE A PRESERVATIVE. If you have a powder or liquid preservative, add it at this time. Stir well.
# Stir in the Silk Amino acid (if you're using it), Sweet Orange Oil, Peppermint EO and Peppermint Fragrance oil
# Shake well.
# That's it!
MY NOTES
# Use this as a tea rinse for your hair after conditioning, or
# Use this spritz instead of plain water when you are retwisting your hair. Its actually very nice when used under your favorite whipped butter
# Nettle is great for dry hair. Oatstraw is said to add body and shine to hair, and is high in silica. They both are thought to improve dry, dull and/or thinning hair.
# Proteins like silk amino acid or hydrolized oats, etc are optional. If you seriously think you're protein sensitive, leave it out.
